Okavango Delta – where water defines the wild!
We enjoyed such a stunning trip with close friends to an extremely wet Okavango Delta, Botswana, staying at two bush camps, Splash and 4 Rivers with Kwando Safaris in the Kwara concession, a vast 180,000-hectare region, adjoining Moremi.
The delta has experienced heavy rains over the last two months, and our local guides and trackers were superb in their driving skills, negotiating and ploughing our land cruisers through drifts, channels and waterlogged roads!
We even had a crocodile swimming next to our vehicle in one deep water section!
Each day was full of crazy adventures, but the diverse wildlife was in wonderful condition and we had superb sightings every day. The nine days was so special and such an impressive experience!
The exquisite camps, friendly staff and transfers by Kwando Safaris and Moremi Air all were extremely well organised. We had loads of fascinating stories, interesting vehicle drive adventures across the plains, between the waterways, lots of fun with our group and amazing bird sightings.
